Real Estate Market Trends

Below is a slideshow exhibiting an eight-year trend in Boston home sales starting in 2004. The maps are joined by two-year increments except for the last year of 2012. The trend displayed reflects the downturn caused by the 2008 Financial Crisis and also the market upswing immediately following. At present, Boston continues to experience rising rental prices as a result of the high demand for housing in the city. In terms of real estate development, the Boston Seaport District has prime location to profit greatly from the construction of new residential, luxury condominiums. Each point on the map represents the sale of one single-family home or condo.
